Terms of Service
These terms govern the relationship between LAKOZE and our clients. They're written in plain language — if anything is unclear, ask us before you commit.
1. The service
LAKOZE designs, builds, and maintains websites for businesses, primarily in Mauritius. Each project is defined by a written scope agreed before work begins.
2. Fixed scope, fixed price, fixed date
Every project is scoped individually — pricing isn't published upfront because it depends on what the project needs. The exact scope, price, and date for your project are confirmed in a written proposal after a discovery call. Work outside that scope is quoted as an add-on before it starts — no surprise invoices.
3. Payment
Project fees are typically split: a deposit to start, a balance on launch. Monthly care and retainer fees are billed in advance. Prices are in Mauritian Rupees (MUR) and exclude any third-party costs (domains, hosting, ad spend) unless stated.
4. The 60-day review
Where included in your package, LAKOZE delivers a one-page performance report 60 days after launch. The review reports traffic and enquiry numbers and provides recommendations. It does not guarantee specific results — it reports actual ones.
5. Your responsibilities
To deliver on the agreed date, we need you to:
- • Provide content and approvals promptly when requested.
- • Respond to review requests within a reasonable time.
- • Give accurate information about your business and customers.
6. Intellectual property
On full payment, the website we build for you is yours — design, code, and content you supplied. We retain the right to show the work in our portfolio, with real numbers, unless you ask us not to in writing.
7. No guarantee of search ranking
We do technical SEO to a high standard, but we do not guarantee any specific search engine ranking. Anyone who does is not being honest with you.
8. Limitation of liability
LAKOZE's liability for any project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue, arising from the use of the website.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Mauritius.
