A LAKOZE concept build — a demonstration piece, not a client project.
A Grand Baie fine-dining restaurant has run for over a decade on reputation alone — regulars know to call ahead, but the old site was a single page with a phone number and a photo, no way to actually hold a table.
A guest planning a special evening wants to lock in a date, time, and party size before they commit to the drive out — not send a message and wait to hear back. The restaurant's 90-minute table-hold policy and 2-hour notice period both needed to be communicated upfront, not explained after the booking.
A Kroissans build: a three-step reservation flow — party size, date and time, then contact details — that states the hold policy and notice period before a guest commits, routes parties above 10 to a direct call instead of a form that can't handle them, and a full menu with real dish photography and MUR pricing so the evening is sold before the guest arrives.
The target outcome: completed reservations tracked from day one, measured in the 60-day review against phone enquiries and how many guests browse the menu before booking.
“A reservation form's only job is to hold the table it promises. Everything else — the menu, the room, the wine list — is just why someone wanted that table in the first place.”
